Workplace Literacy October 20, Monday 6:30 - 9 pm
Health Literacy November 3, Monday 6:30 - 9 pm __________________________________________________ FREE ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CLASSES in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science to prepare for the GED, LPN, or college programs
A New Program in collaboration with 1199 Training and Employment Funds (Health Care Union)
Where: 1199 SEIU, 155 Washington Ave, Albany (next to library) When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 to 1 pm or 4 to 7 pm Additional Computer Training on Wednesdays, 10 to 12 pm or 4:30 to 6:30 pm Classes start: Tuesday, September 16, 2008 and run through May 2009
BONUS! Private rooms for tutors to work on material with enrolled students.
INTERESTED STUDENTS MUST ATTEND AN ORIENTATION MEETING ON: Tues., August 26 at 10 am to 1 pm or 4 to 7 pm Wed., September 3 at 10 am to 1 pm or 4 to 7 pm (Tutors can accompany students to orientation session)

ESOL Conversation Groups
Albany Public Library, Main Branch Friday afternoons 4:30—5:30 pm
Guilderland Public Library 1st & 3rd Tuesday of month, Study Room 10:30 am—12 pm Conversation groups are for intermediate to advanced ESOL students. LV tutors lead the groups to work on speaking skills. Students can join anytime! Call 452-3382 for more information.
